Totally. I use mine for open water swimming in the winter. The sherpa lining is super warm and it blocks the wind really well. Game changer for cold dips.

Yeah, they're designed to be a bit oversized so you can move around inside. I'd say stick with your normal large unless you're really wanting it like, super baggy.
